Refugio Paz de las Aves antpitta feeding and cock-of-the-rock lek
Run by Refugio Paz de las Aves (Angel and Rodrigo Paz)
About
The Paz family's private reserve where wild antpittas were habituated to come to hand-fed worms, now a classic stop for bird photographers. A dawn tour starts at an Andean cock-of-the-rock lek, then the brothers call in Giant, Moustached, Yellow-breasted and other antpittas at close range, followed by hummingbird and fruit feeders. Multi-day stays with lodging are also offered.
