About
A privately owned coral island north of Praslin run as an early ecotourism project, now offering self-catering villas. Habitat restoration grew its sooty tern colony from 15,000 to about 700,000 pairs; terns gather from March, settle in April and May, lay in June and raise chicks into September. White-tailed tropicbirds, fairy terns, giant tortoises and nesting turtles add to the subjects.
