About
The reserve's ranger station at the outflow of the Ozernaya River from Kurile Lake, where visitors stay in stationary tents or a guest house inside an electric fence. Bears fish for sockeye salmon close to the station and at the fish-counting weir; the reserve sells a brown bear photo tour from Ozerny and boat trips to watch bears from the water, always with a reserve escort.
