About
Low hide under the bird-watching tower in the Diependal wetland reserve near Oranje, reached by a 162 m tunnel, so you shoot at water level over one of the compartments. Spoonbills, great egrets, kingfishers, bluethroats and wildfowl are regular, with cranes most years and osprey or white-tailed eagle possible. Exclusive use sunrise to half an hour before sunset; no feeding allowed.
