About

Forest Service observatory above the falls on Anan Creek, about 35 miles south of Wrangell, where black and brown bears fish side by side for pink salmon. A half-mile trail leads to a partly covered viewing deck and a photo blind reached by a stairway about three stories high, looking down on the falls.
