A high-Andean Jocotoco reserve 45 minutes from Quito on the slope of Pichincha volcano, created for the Critically Endangered Black-breasted puffleg. A hummingbird garden and feeders by the Café del Zamarrito are a standard stop on Ecuador photo tours for high-altitude hummingbirds. Open daily 8:00 to 15:00.
