Ekker Island Arctic Lodge

Outside, 12 km from Varangerhalvøyaby Ekker Island Arctic Lodge

This lodge sits on the Ekkerøy peninsula on the Varangerfjord, a short walk from a kittiwake bird cliff. Its Bird View Cabins, designed by the architecture firm Biotope, have large windows facing the fjord, and guests may see white-tailed eagles and the occasional gyrfalcon from inside. The lodge sends guests out to Varanger birding sites and to Hornøya, and it says the peak season runs from March to July.
