Peak: Tied to the macaw nesting cycle rather than to the toucan. Instituto Arara Azul: in flood years hyacinth macaws start breeding around July with most young flying by December; in drier years they start around September with young flying in March. Eggs incubate 28–30 days and chicks are vulnerable to toucan predation up to about 45 days old. That puts the highest density of raidable nests roughly October to January, later in a dry year. FLAGGED: this is the macaw's calendar, used as a proxy. The toco toucan's own Pantanal breeding dates are not published — Birds of the World gives Sept–Feb for Paraguay and São Paulo and Nov–Feb for Goiás/Minas/Bahia, with nothing for Mato Grosso do Sul.

Peak: Operator states ocelots are good year-round; the discriminator is air quality, not the cat. Mid-June to end July and November are the clean-air months. Sept–Oct carries the highest dry-season fire-smoke risk; August is super-peak pricing and heat.
