  • Fennec Fox at Grand Erg Oriental, southern Tunisia — the sand sea inland of Douz and Ksar Ghilane, where Bruno D'Amicis did the definitive work. Djebil and Sanghar National Parks (Tunisia) hold protected populations. Algeria's Ahaggar and Tassili n'Ajjer are the larger, wilder version with much harder access.
