    Peak: Late Nov to mid-Dec — rainfall dropping sharply but valley mist still frequent, and the tail of the Aug–Jan breeding season.

  • Fiery-Throated Hummingbird at Batsú Gardens, San Gerardo de Dota — covered photography deck, hummingbird feeders and placed mossy perches. Also the Paraíso Quetzal Lodge feeder gallery at km 70, and the Los Quetzales Lodge private-reserve hides in Panama.

    Peak: Wet season, May–Nov — feeder visitation is highest exactly when wild flowers are scarcest. Fiery-throated is the alpha species at Cerro de la Muerte feeders and monopolises them in the dry season.
