    Peak: Mid-November through December. Scarlet macaws at Tambopata lay two to four eggs from October to December (Brightsmith group), incubate ~25 days, and lick use peaks in the breeding season because adults carry clay back to chicks during the first 20–40 days of life. That puts the scarlet-specific maximum roughly mid-November into January. FLAGGED AS INFERENCE: different parrot species at the same lick peak in different months, and the scarlet's own peak month is not separately published. The breeding chain is solid; the exact fortnight is not.
