Peak: First three weeks of November. Short rains established so cloud is at ~68%, herds are back on the plains, and it is before the December holiday rate and vehicle peak. March (75% cloud) is the near-equivalent second choice; April has the best light of the year (78% cloud) but the worst access.

Peak: October. It is the only month that combines a genuine pre-sunrise gate margin (+7 min), a generous evening margin (+19 min), short grass, prey still concentrated at the riverbed boreholes, low crowds, dust for atmosphere, and heat haze not yet at summer severity. September is the quiet sweet spot; November has the best evening margin (+29 min) but rising heat.

Peak: None that survive the rule set. Sep is nominally the best month for predator activity and Jun–Sep the only viable window on wildlife grounds — but see Light Conditions for why that does not rescue it.
