    Peak: No seasonal peak established for caracal here. Eastern Cape is a year-round, all-season rainfall region; May to September is cooler, drier and gives shorter grass and better visibility, which is the only seasonal argument I would make.

    Peak: None establishable. The recent confirmed camera-trap records cluster December to February (Ramgarh Vishdhari 19 Dec 2024 to 21 Jan 2025; Mukundara Hills 16–25 Feb 2025) but every one of those captures was between 18:00 and 06:00. A seasonal peak in nocturnal detections is not a photographic window.
